Ignorance

“And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Luke 23:34 ESV

ignorance 1

How do you handle ignorant people? Do you ridicule them? Do you condemn them? Or do you wave them away as stupid?

What did Jesus teach us?

When he was being crucified, he looked at the people initiating the act and forgave them. Though they were simply following orders, they had no knowledge of who Jesus was or that an innocent man was being condemned. Jesus didn’t eternally judge them. He didn’t threaten them. Nor did he belittle them. Instead he forgave them.

How about us? How do we respond? What will it take to forgive those who are ignorant of their actions toward us?

Ignorance is bliss for the self only because God’s grace is being extended to you. Otherwise, ignorance causes one to miss out on life’s good things. When ignorance is replaced with true knowledge, Reality takes charge. From Reality one can build on a sure foundation. Otherwise one is living a lie built on a shifting foundation that will eventually fail.

Forgiveness leads to repentance. So when ignorance loses its hold, God’s love grows from the inside-out. Or as most eventually learn: Ignorance is bliss only until Reality takes over.

Your Heart

“Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life.” Proverbs 4:23 AMP

heart 2

Your heart is a main part of the central operating system of your Soul. The other parts are the Mind and Will. Just like nothing good comes from a virus attack in your computer system, so is the same for your soul.

When the Bible refers to the heart, it generally refers to the main storage area for your emotions, attitudes, and spirit. When the heart has been corrupted, the outcome is generally anxiety, negativity, and a destructive spirit. However, when your heart is pure, the fruit released is peace, faithfulness, and love.

This is why the Bible is your #1 operating manual. It describes what works best for your Soul and what one needs to avoid if one wants to live a full, abundant life.

In addition, the Bible reveals that The Holy Spirit is your performance and security consultant. He constantly leads, upgrades, and protects our Soul from harm when we follow his instructions.

So what is the bottom-line in regards to your heart?

Choose wisely what you allow in. Otherwise, instead of enjoying life as God created it to be, you find yourself on a path of self-destruction. Remember, just as you protect your computer operating system, your heart also needs protection. Therefore, guard, thrive, and enjoy the heart you have been given.

God IS God

…one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Ephesians 4:6 ESV

god is1

Tell me where you invest your time, talent, and treasure, and I will tell you about your God. Whomever or whatever you serve first in your life comes to question.

As a culture we laugh at gods of our forefathers. The majority, if not all of these gods are man-made. Built upon superstition, rituals, or ignorance, these false gods have proven to be untrue.

The challenge comes though when one is introduced to the God of Israel. The same God of Abraham, Jacob, and Isaac. The same God that Jesus prayed to, spoke about, and revealed through his incarnate life.

This God continually proves himself over and over again. First in scripture. Then through the lives of many of his followers. Throughout history, there are many testimonies of lives changed, miracles revealed, and prophecies fulfilled.

When one encounters this God, one is never the same again. This God reveals Reality because HE created everything we know and what we have yet to discover. When you come to know HIM, HIS thoughts, HIS purpose, and HIS character, you come to know the basis of creation.

You have the foundation of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. You have a worldview that is based on Reality. You know God is God. All other gods are simple allusions to make oneself feel good about self.

Seek HIM; love HIM; worship HIM. Let HIM be God. Like Albert Einstein once stated: “I only want to know HIS thoughts, everything else is details.”
