Deuteronomy 30:15
“See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil. (ESV)

What is God’s position on life?
Though Scripture nowhere specifically discusses the subject of abortion, there are many Scriptures which emphasizes the Triune God’s stance for protecting the life of the vulnerable (Ps 82:3; Jer. 22:3; Mal 3:5) and HIS purpose for mankind (Eph 1:5,9,11).
He created life (Gen. 1) and sustains life (Job 34:14-15). And HE also wants us to learn how to choose between life and death (Deut. 30:19) HE wants us to view life the way HE does. HE hates death and the destruction of life. Paul writes that death is the last enemy to be destroyed (1 Cor. 15:26). Jesus stated HE came so we may live life more abundantly (Jn. 10:10). HE even emphasizes that little children are the perfect example of the type of people we need to become to enter into HIS Kingdom (Lk.18:16). Children are dependent on others for their survival as we trustfully are with God.
HE views every unborn child conceived in the womb as an offspring of HIS. Psalm 127:3 reminds us that children are a reward from the Lord. Psalm 139:13 & Isaiah 44:24 states HE is involved with us even within the womb, before we are birth.
An example is Jeremiah 1:5 which shows God had specific plans for him before he was even born. (How many of those 60 million abortions over the last 50 years were people whose purpose were to find a cure for cancer, restore family values, and help eliminate social destructive tenancies.)
His purpose from the beginning of creation is to resurrect a people who will join HIM in eternity working within HIS Kingdom (Rev 20:1-4). The enemy, Satan, knows his time is short and is doing everything possible to prevent the growth of God’s Kingdom (Rev.12). The adversary’s mission is to steal, kill, and destroy (Jn10:10). Abortion is one means of fulfilling the mission of Satan. He is frantically preventing the birth of children in his anger against God.
In fact, humanity is now in the womb of a new creation (Jn.3, 2 Cor. 5:17) waiting for birth into a new age. Some will choose to abort their relationship with the Almighty and others will diligently hang in there (Matt. 24:13) for the birth into a new world prepared before the foundation of the world (Rev. 21:1, Titus 1:2).
Those of us who understand redemption, which includes submitting our bodies under the authority of Jesus Christ, and being formed into HIS character, faithfully and honorably now represent HIS Kingdom to an ungodly culture. In love and truth, we are HIS witnesses to a life worth living now and one which awaits us in the future.
Meanwhile, we all have a choice to make. We can choose either life or death, good or evil (Deut. 30:15-20). So, now you may better understand whenever you find me in doubt or unsure, I choose life. I hope the same is true for you.
