Who Has the Final Say?

Shall not the Judge of all the earth do what is just? Gen 18:25 ESV.

Sometimes justice is blind. What may be obvious too you is a more complicated picture for the other person.

One of the realities that took a few years for me to learn, is that there are many roads that lead toward your destination. If you are like me, you typically want to take the fastest and shortest route possible. Though you are aware there are other routes that will also get you there, why would anyone want to take them? Yet servant leadership is not about manipulating people to travel down your road, but to help them decide what road will best benefit them to arrive at their destination.

So who has the final say on which road you choose?

Most people who you ask will answer they do. Since they are personally responsible for their decision, they must choose. Yet is that 100% technically correct?

When a judge makes a decision on a court case, is that the final say?
When a parent makes a decision on a child’s life, is that the final say?
When your boss gives you a poor performance review, is that the final say?

For most people the answer may be yes. For me, I have learn otherwise. If there was no God, than I would agree with you. However since there is a Father-Son-Spirit that owns everything this universe has to offer, I believe the Triune God has last say.

So when someone makes a decision that I feel is now out of my hand, where do I turn? I simply go to our Heavenly Throne Room and ask our Heavenly Dad if he may intervene with His justice on the matter. Most of the time He takes the wrong and through time builds something out of it that produces righteous fruit in the lives of others. Than other times, he intervenes immediately in ways that pleasantly surprises you and me. Only he knows what is the best solution for the time and place.

So we have come to learn to submit to authority, to others, and to Truth. The reason being they all have a Judge that they must answer too. Even when they may not know his name. But since I know him and he knows me, His justice is always served sooner or later.
